Montenegro, as a NATO member state, does not have the alternate agenda. We believe that the perspective of EU membership is a key driver of reforms, guarantor of stability, democracy, further economic development and competitiveness of our region. Exchange of territories is a double-edged sword
Bilateral relations of Montenegro and Serbia are very good indeed, we could even say they're now at their best since the gaining of independence by both countries. However, foreign policy statements in our region are often made for the needs of domestic political circumstances, so we shouldn’t always give them as much significance, said Minister Darmanovic.

PODGORICA (Reuters) - Montenegro has received assurances the U.S. Senate will ratify its accession to NATO and expects to become a full member of the alliance at a summit in late May, Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic said on Thursday.
