In accordance with Article 9 and 41 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro declared today the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Montenegro Vladimir Bozovic as persona non grata and requested him to leave the country.

Director General of the Directorate General for NATO and Security Policy Vladimir Vucinic attended online Ministerial Conference on Afghanistan, held on 23rd and 24th of November, in Geneva. Vucinic emphasized that Montenegro strongly supports the peace achieving in Afghanistan, as the precondition for stabilization and further progress of the country.

Statement

Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns last nights’ act of provocation directed towards diplomatic mission of the Republic of Croatia in Podgorica, which, we regretfully state, represents another performance of the primitive nationalism, ethnic and political radicalism which we are continuously witnessing. Evidently, the ultimate aim is endangering civic and multi-ethnic character of Montenegro, but also, nothing less, worsening relations between two neighbours, friends and allies.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof. Dr. Srdjan Darmanovic took part at today's online Ministerial conference of Council of Europe that is being held within current Greek presidency. Head of Montenegrin diplomacy highlighted the importance of holding the conference, especially having in mind that this year we celebrate 70 years from adoption of the European convention on Human Rights, presenting as well a foundation of European Court of Human Rights. On this occasion, minister Darmanovic stated once again that “Montenegro, as a true part of Europe, represents strong partner of the Convention and the Court of Human Rights”.
