Radulovic – Jin: Good bilateral relations to be additionally improved through economic and cultural cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović met
today with Ambassador of PR China in Montenegro Liu Jin. On that occasion,
Minister Radulovic stated that Montenegro tremendously praise efforts and help
of Government of PR China during this sensitive and challenging period, caused
by pandemic. He highlighted that friendly relations of two countries have been
confirmed throughout first pandemic wave, during repatriation of their
citizens.
Head of Montenegrin diplomacy emphasized that two
countries have constructive overall cooperation that can be additionally
improved through further dynamizing economic and cultural diplomacy. In that
regard, he stressed that Chinese Initiative for improvement of cooperation with
Central and Eastern European countries (Mechanism 17+1) is very important for
intensifying further activities on economic plan. That is, as he stated, an
excellent platform for carrying out project and investments, as well as for
more active approach of Montenegro on Chinese market. He reminded also that
Montenegro is active participant of Mechanism 17+1, while expressing the belief
that activities within this Mechanism will be intensified during next year, in
accordance with occasions that current pandemic is imposing. Additionally,
minister Radulovic stressed the importance of cultural diplomacy, throughout
cultural dialogue upgrading.
Ambassador Jin expressed appreciation for
reception and wished Minister Radulovic successful term of office. He
highlighted that relations of two countries characterize high level of
political trust and mutual respect, appraising that stated represent
precondition for good and friendly bilateral relations. Ambassador Jin agreed
with Minister’s position that bilateral cooperation need to be further enhanced
through developing ties on economic level, and in that regard expressed the
importance of adequate business and political ambient for attracting foreign
investors. Besides economic and cultural diplomacy, Ambassador expressed the
belief that two countries have a great potential to develop cooperation in the
field of tourism, as well as in the fields of agriculture and export of
agricultural products in China.
Interlocutors also highlighted the importance of
good cooperation on multilateral level, especially in the context of
candidacies for membership in UN bodies, while agreeing on continuation of
intensive and open communication in the following period.
